They are seeking an Administrative Assistant, to join their growing yet established team.

Your new role
Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Administrative Assistant position presents the Company in a professional manner giving responsible answers to general enquiries. This position is regarded as a professional member of the SMS team who reflects the image of the Company through dress, manner and speech, and as such exhibits pro-active skills to enhance job performance. Duties include switchboard, filing and related administrative support activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Operate switchboard to process all incoming phone calls, redirecting phone calls or taking messages as required.
- Maintains postal machine & supplies; orders postage for postage meter when necessary.
- Sends faxes and distributes all incoming faxes.
- Monitor freight invoices to assist with better recovery.
- Prepare bank deposits and process bank deposit documents.
- Employee facilities maintenance and coordination.
- BOL’s filing for equipment leaving SMS and receiving.
- Coordinates room bookings and events as required.
- Maintaining office including tracking and ordering office and coffee supplies.
- Filing as required.
- Other duties as assigned

Location: This role is located in Prince George, BC.

What you'll need to succeed

- This position requires related education and 1-3 years of office experience; office reception experience is preferred.
- Strong computer skills to access and update electronic records. - Excellent verbal communication skills; must have excellent interpersonal skills, have a friendly disposition and proven demonstration of professionalism in dealing with the public and company employees.
