Our client, a leading global chemistry company in the US, Canada, Asia and Europe, is going through a Digital Transformation. They are building a Digital Hub for global business in Toronto city. Therefore, we are hiring multiple technology talents with the ambition of joining the digital hub. Your new role

• Shape and continuously develop the overall architecture vision and roadmap for projects using AI, considering all prerequisites end-to-end.
• Drive innovation in close collaboration with successful managers and product owners to maximize the value potential in AI adoption.
• Stay up to date with the latest technological developments in close collaboration with the experts in our AI lab.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to project and product teams and ensure adherence to the architectural best-practices and standards, conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality and reliable deliverables.
• Identify potential risks, performance bottlenecks, as well as security and scalability challenges in the architecture and propose effective mitigation measures.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree (M.Sc./PhD) in computer science, mathematics, related to engineering.
• Extensive experience in software architecture design and practical implementation, strong hand-on developer experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects as solutions architect or in product management, preferably using machine learning and AI components, from conception to deployment.
• Solid understanding of AI, ML, data science, data engineering and cloud technologies and the end-to-end process to make those work successfully from data acquisition, preparation, model building/training, deployment, and performance monitoring in operation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and address technical challenges effectively.
• Strong communication skills, ability to convince developers, preferably speaking experience or giving tutorials.
