Our client is a leading chemical manufacturing firm looking to hire a Middleware Engineer for a full-time permanent opportunity.

Your new role

• Consulting the BPI team in technical application questions during the solution design and functional specification phase.
• Providing effort estimation for realization and contributes to project planning.
• Creating Technical Design Document supported by the Business, Supporting testing and service transition.
• Performing configuration and development in systems (e.g. customizing in SAP and / or KAFKA).
• Managing development activities (internal and external resource planning for development).
• Collaborating with support team to identify areas of process implementation issues /continuous improvement.
• Translating of stakeholder requirements into concrete specifications for different Integration technologies, like SAP PO/CPI, SAP SLT, Kafka, API-Management.
• Focusing is software design and software architecture of components and applications.
• Independent develop, enhance and migrate applications / modules /interfaces / tools / communication solutions.
• Integrating and testing of software components within the existing application landscape.

What you'll need to succeed

• Completed university degree in business IT, business economics or Engineering with course specialization on IT or informatics with course specialization on business economics (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) with several years of professional experience. Or IT Application Development Specialist or comparable training with many years of professional experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years related working experience.
• Experiencing Agile way of working or agile implementation approach.
• Experience with integration tools like SAP PO / CPI, API Management.
• Additional experience in Java, JSP, SQL
• Experience in different integration scenarios and strong understanding of event-driven microservices.
• Optional Experience in Cloud Big Data technologies and architectures within AZURE, Google Cloud or AWS; Experienced in Scala, Python
• Business Consulting and Technical Consulting skills.
